This moves only one block ahead at a time and no backward or horizontal move is allowed. It moves diagonally in all four directions only in order to zap opponent’s man and naturally renders charge likely a Bull. Reaching 10th rank by normal move, it returns to either of its home block i.e. a2/a9 or j2/j9 at once, if vacant or zapping opponent’s man if that very block is already occupied by any of such man . Arrival at 10th rank and return to home-block counted as a single move. This movement is called ‘Homing’. It then starts move de novo. Players shall have liberty to accept or forgo this homing advantage. If the Goj reaches the 10th rank by way of zapping opponent’s man instead of ordinary forward move from 9th rank, it will be ‘Bogged’ there till it gets another opportunity of zapping. Only then it will come back to acquire concerned block and shall move as usual. Homing is symbolized as ‘ ↓ ’ e.g. If a Goj reaches 10th. (a1) and homes to e2 or f2 the notation will be G ≈ ‘a1 ↓ f2 ’ and if it can zap a Nite there, the notation will be G ≈ ‘ a1 ↓ f2 z N ’. it can hold as much as 17 blocks.
