It moves initially two blocks ahead if so desired and zaps by diagonal movement only one block forward in either direction. Backward movement under no circumstances is allowed. Reaching 10th rank it is changed to any other man but Roth. This change is called ‘Promotion’ of Pik. A Shataksh man thus derived shall play with normal rules. If it is promoted to a ‘Goj’, it may enjoy ‘Homing’ advantage in the same move. To promote a Pik, it is never considered how many pieces of that kind exist in the game. For example, there may nine chiefs or ten forts exist on the board.

    The most valuable and powerful piece which is able to move to all possible directions, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally as far as possible. It can zap any piece or pik but the Roth. It can hold greatest number of blocks (as much as 35).
